In the digital age, there are so many options for how to best share information and data insights out of Qlik®. Whether it is flashing across your screen or filling your inbox, reports out of QlikView® or Qlik Sense® including business-relevant analytics have become a standard in many companies.
It is particularly important that the right decision-makers receive the facts and figures that are relevant to them. How and to whom data is reported determines the influence or relationship that others have with this data.
A reliable reporting workflow is necessary for this, which makes it possible to react flexibly and quickly to changes like new employees, additional report recipients, changed decision-making authority etc. in the company.

Dynamic Users and E-Mail Addresses
New employees, 50 additional report recipients, a changed decision-making authority, other external report recipients … all of this causes additional administrative work and means manual changes in the reporting workflow.
With the “Dynamic users and E-Mail Addresses”-Feature you are powered by data and intelligence and you limit the manual effort in your reporting-processes. Dynamic users and E-Mail Addresses are rule-based and are automatically updated when the data of a report recipient changes. The advantage of this is that report elements in Mail & Deploy are created on the basis of criteria and updates when potential report recipients meet or do not meet the criteria.
Imagine the following use cases: You have created a report document that contains data for a specific store of your retail network. In the data source (e.g. the QlikView Document) there is a field that contains the windows username or human resource ID (or something similar) of all persons who should receive the report document. You want to distribute the created report document to the hub report library of these persons using the corresponding Action in Mail & Deploy. In such a case, you do not want to add static users to distribute the report document to, instead, you want to dynamically assign the users based on the field in the QlikView Document.
Or in the datasource (e.g. the QlikView Document) there is a field that contains the e-mail addresses of all persons who should receive the report document. In this case, you do not want to assign static e-mail addresses when distributing the report; instead, you want Mail & Deploy to dynamically read these e-mail addresses from the data source and distribute the report document to them.
This feature is best used for reports which you plan on distributing more than once to a certain list of report-recipients that changes and gets updated frequently.
As time goes on, your dynamic list would automatically adjust to your changing volume of report-recipients. This saves you the time from creating a new user or e-mail address list every time you want to distribute that report and keeps the list fresh and up to date in real-time.
