Release 3.3.0 - What's new

Mail & Deploy Release 3.3.0 has finally landed and offers better stability and performance and a new self-service reporting experience!

Here is everything to enjoy in this major update! It is available to download in our Mail & Deploy Community now. At the end of this post, there is our complete changelog of what is new.

What’s in the update?

Oh, there’s a lot.

The first, very big change is to the Mail & Deploy Self-Service Extensions for Qlik Sense. The arrival of 3 new extensions – Report Requester, Task Executor and Visualization Exporter.

All three have appearance properties to define the colours and localization properties to define all labels/captions.

Furthermore, you can set the properties of the condition to show/hide the extensions according to a condition, as well as to limit the usage of the extension according to another condition.

Then you are able to set the distribution property to define if the user will get the document per immediate download or per email.

Datasource/Task/Report properties have dropdowns to ease the configuration.

Task Executor is something completely new to the Mail & Deploy Self-Service Extension. It simplifies running tasks directly from the Qlik Sense Extension. It accepts parameters with which you can specify your report generation and distribution.

Then there are new modern forms of connecting to Dropbox and Microsoft SharePoint Online. These now make for more appealing ways to see how the connection to Dropbox or SharePoint is established. Both processes used to be more confusing, but now Mail & Deploy takes the complexity out and gives the user a better overview and easier navigation in the folders.

And finally, a new communication mechanism between Mail & Deploy and Qlik Sense has been created which increases stability and performance.
