Marine and transport insurance · United Kingdom

- Existing automation replicated in a proof of concept
- 1 hour
Before and after
Before
- Qlik NPrinting stopped being an option with the move to Qlik Cloud.
- Advanced reports for external stakeholders relied on expensive robotic process automation.
- Only two months remained to find and approve a replacement.
After
- Reporting runs on Qlik Cloud with Mail & Deploy, including tax extracts across jurisdictions.
- The robotic process automation spend was replaced by built-in automation.
- Automated delivery reduces human error and frees up time.
How it is set up
- Data sources
- Qlik Cloud, Qlik on-premises, SQL Server
- Recipients
- Internal teams and external stakeholders across more than 20 offices
- Delivery
- Schedule
- Recurring automated distribution
We sat down and looked at the RPA that was currently in place. Within an hour, we managed to replicate it as a POC within Mail & Deploy's environment. So, when the deadline came around, it was quite easy to just move across.
The problem
TT Club insures 80 per cent of the world's maritime containers and reports on claims, underwriting, credit control and finance to internal and external stakeholders. After more than a decade on Qlik with Qlik NPrinting, the 2023 migration to Qlik Cloud made NPrinting incompatible, and the business wanted to stop paying for robotic process automation. Two months remained to find an alternative that would also pass a strict central IT compliance review.
Why Mail & Deploy
- It connects to Qlik on-premises, Qlik Cloud and direct sources such as SQL Server.
- A proof of concept replicated the existing automation in an hour.
- The partner answered the central IT team's technical and compliance questions.
- Training on a comparable report got the team productive before go-live.
What changed
- Complex reports, such as tax extracts across multiple jurisdictions, are sent automatically.
- Automation replaced the previous robotic process automation spend.
- Manual steps and the errors that came with them have been reduced.
- The team keeps discovering functionality that saves further time in the remaining training sessions.
