2021 – what a wild ride it’s been. This year has been very busy and productive for Mail & Deploy — and at the same time, it feels like it has flown by.
We took some time to reflect on the past year; This was the perfect opportunity to acknowledge all that we are grateful for and worth celebrating. This is Mail & Deploy’s 2021 year in review. Let’s take a look at what we have accomplished in 2021.
Release of Mail & Deploy Version 3
Our first major highlight in 2021 was a doozy. As you already know, Mail & Deploy is a powerful and flexible Reporting Suite for QlikView®, Qlik Sense® and Qlik Sense Saas® . What sets it apart from the competition are the intuitive features, the customer-centric approach, the personal support and the continuing development of innovative reporting capabilities.
Well, we took all that and kicked it into overdrive. In March 2021, we released a revamped version of Mail & Deploy with completely new software architecture, new features and better customization options, as well as some crucial bug fixes.
While you can view the nitty-gritty of the new version here, the gist of it is: Mail & Deploy Version 3 combines efficient reporting, traceable processes and flexible possibilities for standard and individual reporting procedures for Qlik® on-premise and for Qlik® in the cloud, while running smoother than ever.
Throughout the year we continued to publish updates; these brought new features, performance improvements and bug fixes. You can see all the release notes here.
On the documentation side of things, we moved to a custom solution along with a new help.mail-and-deploy.com domain. This makes it easier for anyone to access our documentation for version 3.
New Company
In July, Mail & Deploy spun off from Harrer & Partner 13 years after launch and formed a new and independent company called MaD Reporting GmbH.
This spin-off hardly changed anything for our customers and partners. Now, as MaD Reporting GmbH, we are on track to profitably expand into new consumer segments and geographies, launch new reporting features, double new customer originations, and carry on our mission to help any Qlik® user in the world to get on a path to receive better reports out of Qlik®.
Qlik Technology Partner
This previous year, we also achieved the status as Qlik® Technology Partner! This partnership enables us to deliver even more value to our customers and partners. We are now able to work closely together with Qlik® and help Qlik® users overcome their challenges with reporting out of QlikView®, Qlik Sense® and Qlik Sense Saas®.
New Customers
Our customer base continued to grow and evolve over the previous four quarters. Not only are we serving more customers, but we are also serving bigger active globally companies, some with more than 1000 employees. It is a testament to the strength of Mail & Deploy (and the team behind it) that it provides value and useful features even to the largest, most complex enterprises in the world.
We are also serving customers in new verticals, from life science technologies to car repair services. A review of last year proved that our software meets the needs of most Qlik® customers no matter their size or speciality.

Events
Even in 2021, personal meetings and participation in events were not yet possible due to the ongoing pandemic and the associated restrictions. Nevertheless, we have a few event highlights to show for themselves:
Qlik® Meetup Vienna: In October, we had the privilege of presenting in the Qlik® Meetup Vienna one of the most interesting Qlik® reporting projects we have had in recent years. This project was about implementing a versatile process of delivering hundreds of reports to more than 300 clients and 7000 recipients across the globe at ShopperTrak, using Qlik Sense® and Mail & Deploy.
Qlik Dork Cast: In November, Qlik evangelist Dalton Ruer had a terrific conversation with our CTO, Bernd Podhradsky, on how easy and quick it is to generate engaging reports with Mail & Deploy out of QlikView, Qlik Sense and Qlik Sense SaaS!
Masters Summit for Qlik® 2021 Online Series: Mail & Deploy had been sponsoring the Masters Summit for Qlik once again this year. In these advanced masterclasses, Qlik® experts teach a multitude of techniques and skills for Qlik®.
Our Expanding Partner Network
One of the resources we will draw on to continue our expansion will be our partner network. In review, our network grew extensively over 2021, and we anticipate even more opportunities in 2022. Working with partners within the Qlik® ecosystem allows us to connect with more companies in need of automated solutions for Qlik® Reporting. Moreover, the barriers to entering new markets have eased due to increased collaboration with our partner network. Together, we are able to offer additional features, which can facilitate highly customized solutions and solve even more reporting challenges.

Overall, this year went down as a huge milestone and a new chapter in our story! It all ties into our long-term effort of making Mail & Deploy more “gettable” and getting it into the hands of more people.
